CST has built a reputation on works that challenge both artists and audience and this story of the excesses of the Lotusland is no exception. Premiering at Chicago’s Goodman Theatre in 1984, Rabe’s riveting study of the decadent, perverted, sex-crazed Hollywood cocaine culture took Broadway by storm with Mike Nichol’s all-star cast of William Hurt, Sigourney Weaver, Judith Ivey, Christopher Walken, Harvey Keitel, Cynthia Nixon, and Jerry Stiller. Be here to experience the twisted pursuit of the American Dream in what Time Magazine called, "An important work, masterfully accomplished."
