Taltree GLOW Art After Dark
In the cool of a summer’s evening interact with nature, indulge in tasty food and enjoy glow-in-the-dark artwork & performances. Evening fun includes: Glow-in-the-dark performances and exhibits Children’s activities Night hikes to learn about owls, glow worms and more The Dynamic Moth exhibit Get Your Glow On gift shop – deck yourself in glow-in-the-dark and LED apparel and accessories Food & drink Event central is the The SideTrack, Taltree’s newest event lawn venue. The event begins at 8 pm. Gate opens at 7:45 pm. All 3 nights are open to the public. 

Portage Movies on the Square
The Portage Parks Department is hosting free Movie on the Square, the 1st 2nd and 3rd Fridays of August. This month is sponsored by BAM Pizza Company. Movie is free, but there will be food, treats, and beverages available for purchase. Movie will be begin at dusk. The Lakefront Art Festival is coming this August! Celebrating 34 Years of Fine Art in Michigan City's Lakefront Washington Park. 

Duneland Chamber Party and the Park
This summer the Duneland Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 10th Annual Party in the Park event on Saturday, August 15, from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, in beautiful Thomas Centennial Park in historic downtown Chesterton.

Central Park Plaza Grand Opening
Join Valparaiso Events on Saturday, August 15 for a day full of food, family, friends, and FUN with a “ramped up” Street Fair and Farmer’s Market to welcome the amazing expansion to the downtown park! The Valparaiso Market will officially move under the Urschel Pavilion for the season and hours will be extended from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. 

Portage Christian Church Block Party

Jesus Chris Superstar, the critically acclaimed musical, has been captivating audiences all over the world for the last 40 years. And now it is coming to wow the region on stage at the Star Plaza Theatre in Merrillville. 

La Porte Pet Fest in the Park
5th annual event sponsored by LaPorte County Parks and LaPorte County Small Animal Shelter. Vendors, silent auction, pet contests (costume and best trick). Bring a pet food item to benefit our distribution partner The Salvation Army - LaPorte and family pets in need.
