Valparaiso Community Festivals & Events (VCFE) is inviting football fans to enjoy a new downtown event scheduled for the first Saturday in October. The Great Downtown Tailgate will feature a live telecast of the Notre Dame vs. Miami (FL) game on the big screen in Central Park Plaza at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 6.
Admission is free and tailgating will begin at 5 p.m. A beer garden and food tents will be available in the park with tailgating favorites like Bison Chili and Nachos.
Pre-game activities include a zip line and quarterback toss. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets. Tents and grills will not be allowed.
Bring your friends and families, pull out your favorite football jersey and spend a fun fall evening in the park.
