Visit with the Easter Bunny
The Crossroads Regional Chamber of Commerce is hosting a “Visit with the Easter Bunny” on Saturday, March 24th. There will be a continental breakfast, Easter Basket door prize raffles, children’s games, face painting, an old fashioned Easter Egg Hunt on the Courthouse lawn, and of course a visit and photo opportunity (please bring your cameras) with the Easter Bunny himself!
Jewelry Classes at the Chesterton Art Center
The Chesterton Art Center is pleased to announce new jewelry classes coming to the Art Center, taught by Mara Wible, formerly of MegaBeads. On Friday, March 23 at 11 am, Mara will help you create colorful beaded Daisy Earrings. Flower beaded earrings are fun to make and fun to wear. You may make them out of a single color or a variety of coordinating colors. Either way, your beaded flower earrings will make a statement wherever you go.
Comedy Returns to Chesterton
Chuckles INc returns to the Boiler Room in Chesterton with the second S&G Comedy Show on Friday, March 23. The show will be headlined by Nathyn Gibson and feature Joseph Farley and Kevin Hetler. Jake Kenney will be the host for the night. Chuckles INc is a group of comedians from Northwest Indiana who are trying to create a foundation where comedy can succeed in the Region.
Syria: A Year of Protest
This upcoming Friday, March 23rd at 7 pm, The Valparaiso International Center (The VIC) will be exploring the conflict in Syria and its consequences both abroad and at home. Dr. Yaser Alobeid will lead a panel discussion with others from Syria who will provide their unique perspective on the history and future of the movement.
WiseWay Gluten Free Seminar
WiseWay will host another Gluten Free seminar, discussing the symptoms of Celiac disease and tips on managing a Gluten Free diet. WiseWay has built a "whole store within their store" dedicated to serving the special diet needs of the Valparaiso community.
Steelers Looking for Coaches and Players this Saturday
The Lake County Steelers, under the direction of new head coach Don Gambrel, who brings over 10 years of coaching to the team. The Steelers are looking for other coaches, such as a Special Teams Coordinator, along with players for the upcoming season. For those interested in joining the team, come out to the practice field at Portage High School this Saturday, 10:30 am.

Disposable Theatre Improv Show March 24
Disposable Theatre, Northwest Indiana's only improv comedy group, will be at Mojito Beach Comedy Club at Clancy's Pub in Portage on Saturday, March 24.The laugh-filled evening also features stand up comedy by Todd McNeely and the Mojito Beach Pirates.

Indoor Yard Sale featuring multiple sellers with all types of items for sale. The sale will be Saturday, March 24 from 10a-3p at the Moose Lodge in Valparaiso.
Design and Composition in Painting
This course can dramatically improve the quality of your work. It is a comprehensive approach to design, addressing the ten elements and seven principles of design. We will list and define all of them, analyze the works of some old masters and modern masters to see how all of them use these same elements and principles, and then apply them to our own work. This course is for two dimensional work only. You may work in the medium of your choice as long as it includes the element of color.
