Each week we will be bringing you 10 fun things to do in Northwest Indiana over the weekend, so you are never without something to do! This weekend numerous Easter egg hunts, a country concert, brunch with the Easter bunny, a 5K and kids fun run, a charity head shaving event, a Good Friday crosswalk, free Easter meal and more are all on tap for a fun weekend in Northwest Indiana!
5th Annual Valparaiso Community Egg Hunt
The 5th Annual Valparaiso Community Egg Hunt will take place at the Porter County Expo Center on Saturday, March 30th at 10am. The free community egg hunt is hosted by the MOMS Club of Valparaiso. The hunt also features free photos with the Easter bunny, free face painting, a bake sale, raffle, and more!

Country music singer/songwriter Lee Brice, with hit singles “A Woman Like You” and “Hard to Love,” comes to the Stardust Event Center at Blue Chip Casino, Hotel & Spa, Michigan City, Indiana, on Saturday, March 30. Lee Brice began his country music career as a songwriter in 2007, and co-wrote Garth Brooks’ single “More Than a Memory,” which became the first single in the history of the Billboard country charts to debut at number one.
Brunch with the Easter Bunny
This Easter weekend, stop by the Silver Spoon for a special brunch with the Easter Bunny. The Bunny will be at the restaurant both Saturday, March 30th, and Sunday, March 31st. There will also be a complimentary photo with the Easter Bunny!

First United Methodist Church will hold its 3rd annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30. ges infant through 10 years are welcome to participate in this event which will be held at Rogers-Lakewood Park. Also, bring your camera to take pictures with the Easter Bunny!
South Haven Elementary Student to Shave Head for a Great Cause
Usually, girls this age are concerned with playing with dolls and the Easter Bunny but not Emma; she wants to shave her head. She is hosting a Dance Party and Bake Sale for St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a volunteer-driven charity that funds childhood cancer research. The event will be at Clancy’s Irish Pub on Saturday, March 30. If you don’t want to shave your head, no problem, you can enjoy the dance party with a great DJ!
Northwest Indiana's Largest Easter Egg Hunt
Living Hope Church presents “Easter EGGstravagana" on March 30th. This FREE event for children ages 0-11 is the largest Easter egg hunt in NW Indiana with 250,000 eggs, 300 prize eggs filled with Bikes, Ipods and baskets, a multiple HELICOPTER CANDY DROP, bounce houses, face painting and an Easter bunny!
Good Friday Crosswalk Scheduled
The La Porte Ministerial Association has scheduled the annual Good Friday Crosswalk for March 29th. The community is invited to meet together at First United Methodist Church--1225 Michigan Ave. A short talk will be given about the first phrase Christ uttered from the cross. Then everyone is welcome to follow the cross as it is carried to different locations throughout the community.
Free Easter Meal at St. Teresa of Avila
Join us for a free Easter Meal on Sunday, March 31, 2013 from 1:00-2:30pm. RSVP's are not required, but appreciated. St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Student Center--Avila Hall is located at 1604 Lincolnway.

This race will feature a 1-mile fun run, 5K, and 10K. The run also features a free Easter egg hunt and 1-mile family fun run! The 10K is a "resurrection" lap, meaning the same 5K course a second time.
