January 5th - Hogwarts Reading Adventure

Are you a Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, or maybe a Hufflepuff? Join the Hogwarts Reading Adventure and help your house win the House Cup. Every 2 weeks a new challenge will be available. Move through each of the 7 years of Hogwarts by completing challenges. Participants can earn house points by completing challenges and doing activities. Will your house be the House Cup winner? Come anytime between 10:00am - 4:00pm for the start of term kick-off.

January 5th - Ralph's World

Ralph’s World is the mega-fun musical planet where kids rock and dance to their own and their parents’ delight. It’s the creation of Ralph Covert: indie rocker, songwriter, playwright, and children’s book author. He’s taken the same high-energy and super-melodic sense that he developed for his touring pop-rock band (The Bad Examples) to kid’s music- basically only the lyrics are changed for the ears of the innocent. His McCartneyesque style (both musically and his sense of charm) has won him hundreds of thousands of three-feet-and-under fans and their parents.

Tone up, burn calories, and stay strong with this dynamic, safe program designed for all fitness levels and body types. Classes are available from 8:50-9:50 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 9-9:30 a.m. Saturdays at The Crossing, 1203 Washington St., La Porte. Registration is not required.

Gibson Woods Nature Preserve - Hammond, IN
Winter presents many challenges to animal that live in the Midwest, but for insects, these challenges are particularly unique. Join us at Gibson Woods Friday January 4 from 10-11AM to explore some of the ways they survive the chill enjoy a buggy snack too. Program is recommended for children 3 and up. There is a $2 fee per child with caregiver.
January 5th - Bishop Noll Baseball Winter Skills Camp

Bishop Noll's Baseball Program will hold a Winter Skills Camp from noon to 3 p.m. January 5, 2019, at the school, 1519 Hoffman St. in Hammond. Camp is open to all interested students in grades 5-8. This skill camp will run like a Bishop Noll varsity baseball practice. Participants will have a hands on training experience with coaches and players as they practice alongside some of the best High School Varsity Baseball players in NW Indiana.
