Humane Society Calumet Area Hosts Girls Night Out - Holiday Edition
Paws Resale Shoppe will keep its doors open late for a special night of shopping and pampering on Friday, November 14 during Humane Society Calumet Area (HSCA)’s Girls Night Out - Holiday Edition. The event takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. at the resale shop, 8149 Kennedy Ave, Highland. The evening features shopping, wine tasting, complimentary nail polish changes and massages by Don Roberts School of Hair Design students, tarot card readings, raffle prizes, food and more. The first 75 attendees will receive a goodie bag.

MCAS Art Teacher Exhibit Opens Friday, November 14th
 Eight Michigan City Area Schools art teachers will exhibit their work in a show called “Inspired: Inspire” at the Lubeznik Center for the Arts, November 14 – December 28. “We are inspired through our own work and we use that inspiration to inspire our students,” explains Karrie Harbart. Don’t miss this show, which will feature 2-D and 3-D works by Holly Beadles, Rita Cochran, Jean Everspaugh, Thomas Friend, Karrie Harbart, Kelly Tokoly, Susanne Vigen, and Cheri Whitler.

Rittenhouse of Valparaiso 2014 Holiday Bazaar set for Saturday, November 15th  T
his Saturday from 9am - Noon, Rittenhouse Senior Living of Valparaiso is hosting a Holiday Bazaar! LCSO News: Symphonic Voices Reimagined
The La Porte County Symphony Orchestra combines brilliant instrumental voices with dazzling singing for an evening that celebrates 20 years of Maestro Bauman as the music director! The Fall kick-off concert for a season titled "Voices ReImagined" may raise the roof of the La Porte Civic Auditorium on November 15 beginning at 7:30 pm. This concert is typical of the type of stimulating and inspiring program that fans of Music Director Philip J. Bauman have come to enjoy. For this concert, the audience will experience a fusion of an accomplished Midwest orchestra, a classically trained trio from Chicago and a high school choir that will be joining us from a celebrated arts school in Gary.

Knights of Columbus Hosting a Wine and Beer Tasting Event
The Knights of Columbus is having a wine & beer tasting fundraiser for our charities. It is to be held on November 15th. from 6:00pm till 10:00pm in the school hall at Nativity of our Savior Church and School at 2949 Willowcreek RD., Portage IN. 46368. The Purdue University North Central Sinai Forum continues its 61st season Sunday, Nov. 16 with An Afternoon With John King, CNN chief national correspondent and anchor of “Inside Politics.” This, and all remaining sessions of the season, will be at the Stardust Event Center at the Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City. All sessions begin at 4 p.m. Doors open at 3 p.m.
