Fall Harvest Festival set for Friday, October 17 
Mark your calendars for this Friday, October 17th from 4-6pm for Valparaiso's Fall Harvest Festival. Bring your family for a fun and spooky night filled with treats for all! Get dressed up and join us for a night of trick-or-treating downtown. Not only will our downtown restaurants and retailers be participating, but local businesses will be handing out candy and other goodies all the way around the Courthouse Square.

Frank Marino’s Divas Las Vegas Brings High Energy Show to Blue Chip October 16-18 
Divas, the energetic show starring Las Vegas' longest running headliner Frank Marino and featuring an all-star cast of superstar female impersonators, comes to the Stardust Event Center at Blue Chip Casino, Hotel & Spa, Michigan City, Indiana on Thursday, October 16 at 7 pm; Friday, October 17 at 8 pm and Saturday, October 18 at 8 pm.

Hobart Chamber Boozfest Set for October 17th 
Come sample from the local brewers and wineries, enjoy food provided by the Radisson and TJ Maloney's, buy popcorn from ChicagoLand Popcorn, listen to live entertainment, and enjoy a wonderful night! The Radisson is offering room discounts for those who would like to stay overnight.

Memorial Opera House to Host The Newlywed Game on October 17 
Please join us on October 17th for The Newlywed Game...Opera House Style, an evening of fun and entertainment, to help raise funds for Memorial Opera House Foundation! Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the Memorial Opera House Box Office! The evening will begin at 6:30 pm with a cash bar including a very special 'Blushing Bride' drink, appetizers from Parea, piano music by Andrew Flasch, and an opporunity to purchase raffle tickets for baskets created by Foundation Board members and members of the fundraising committee!

Run for the Hills 2014 to Support Play for Jake Foundation 
The Kiwanis Club of La Porte is proud to announce our second annual Run for the Hills 5K cross country race. The race is held at the Legacy Hills Golf Course on Johnson Road here in La Porte. It is a true cross county event as you will be running on grass the entire time. We are also exremely proud to be partnering with the Play For Jake Foundation!

Valparaiso Events' Great Downtown Tailgate to Show Bears-Dolphins on the Big Screen in Central Park Plaza 
Watch the Bears vs. Dolphins game on the big screen in the Park! Admission is free. Bring your tailgating supplies, coolers, blankets and chairs (no grills or tents) and enjoy a great-downtown-tailgate-2014live telecast in the park! Meet friends and cheer on your favorite team!

Munster Parks to Host 1st Annual AleFest 
The Town of Munster welcomes you to a most anticipated, inaugural fall event on Saturday from 1-5pm. Bring your taste for great beer and spirit for fun to the Munster AleFest as you can choose to sample from more than 100 local and nationwide craft brews. Explore the flavors of the newest craft breweries as they develop their ongoing craft for making delicious brews. Munster AleFest will of course have some of the finest local food vendors serving up tasty bites to accompany your tastings.

Freaky Fun Zombie Run Set for October 18th 
The Portage Parks & Recreation Foundation will be hosting a 5K Extreme, but FUN Run, the 3rd Annual Freaky Fun Zombie Run, on October 18, 2014 at 4 pm. Runners will experience the challenge of one of Imagination Glen’s Outback Trails, as well as, several strategically placed obstacles. Runners will endure mud, water, rough terrain, an army crawl, oh yes and Zombie’s. After the race, runners can enjoy food and beverages in the beautiful setting of Imagination Glen. Ballet FolkloricoTapatio of Northwest Indiana's Fiesta Folkorico set for October 18th 
The Ballet FolkloricoTapatio of Northwest Indiana is proud to present its 3rd annual Fiesta Folklorico program. Returning are last year’s favorites, the Fiesta Mexicana Dance Company of Arizona and the talented, Milwaukee-based mariachi singer Salvador Villanueva. Also performing is the Ballet Folklorico Tapatio of NWI and the Mariachi Acero of East Chicago. The program will take place Saturday, October 18 at 7:00pm at the Portage High School West Auditorium. Because last year’s event hosted 400 guests, Marissela Lynch, director of the Ballet Folklorico Tapatio, suggests buying tickets in advance.
