Trick or Treat Downtown – Kick Things Off at the Duneland Chamber of Commerce 
Downtown businesses will be offering trick or treating for Duneland families this year on Friday, October 24, from 4-6pm. Parents and their children should look for purple flyers in the windows of participating businesses along Indian Boundary, Calumet and Broadway in Chesterton. Additionally, Chesterton Fire Department will park there fire truck in the Duneland Chamber of Commerce parking lot for children to explore.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Indiana’s 33rd Annual Fine Art Exhibit 
Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Indiana will showcase Club members’ artwork at their 33rd Annual Fine Art Exhibit located in Southlake Mall (Lower Level by Books-A-Million bookstore). The exhibit will be on display this weekend, October 24 to October 26, during normal mall hours. An “Artist’s Reception” will be held on Friday, October 24 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Artists and other special guests will get a sneak peak at the winning pieces.

City of Whiting Halloween Festivities 
Fall is upon us and the City of Whiting is gearing up for costumes, sweets, and Trick-or-Treats. Join us for our Halloween festivities by attending Whiting’s Haunted Hayride, Annual Halloween Parade, and of course Trick- or-Treating on Halloween Night.

PNC Presents Halloween Haunted Trail
The Purdue University North Central will host a Haunted Trail at the PNC Westville campus on Oct. 24, 25 and 29 from 7 to 10 p.m. each night. The trail is open to the public. Admission is $5. The Haunted Trail will present frightening thrills for high school and college students and young adults.

Tricks & Treats With CST'S Creature Double Feature  
Chicago Street Theatre is preparing to kick off its 60th Anniversary Season and celebrate Halloween like nobody else with their Creature Double Feature running October 17 through November 1 with productions of Frankenstein and Scary Godmother.

Haunted Hills Hospital Scaring for a Cure this Friday 
Haunted Hills Hospital will team up with "Team Lil Man and Bayer's Too" in their quest to find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes. Come to Haunted Hills Hospital, located at 6112 Old Porter Rd. in Portage on Friday, October 24, 2014, and help scare for a cure!

Washington Park Zoo Hosting 2014 Halloween Event  
Due to the large crowds that traditionally attend Boo at the Zoo, this year we will be offering two sessions to avoid long lines and keep everyone safe. Session one: Gates open at 12:30 until 2:30 with trick or treating ending at 3:00 and the zoo closing at 3:30 p.m. Session two: Gates opening at 4:30 until 6:30 with trick or treating ending at 7:00 and the zoo closing at 7:30 p.m.

The Uptown Arts District to host the 3rd Annual Flame & Flair Halloween Street Festival, Saturday, October 25th 
Join us for a night of fire, flair, candy, dancing, haunting, bed racing, trick or treating , and much more! Back by popular demand are Chicago's Hottest Fire dancers performing on the street with flame geisers and a laser light show. Watch the Thriller Dance performed by local friends and neighbors brave enough to learn it this month. We've added a beer garden into the mix too. So stop out and enjoy the night in the Uptown Arts District. It's all brought to you by the Michigan City Mainstreet Association and their members.

Zombie Improv III featuring Disposable Theatre to Benefit Girls on the Run of NWI 
Northwest Indiana's only professional improv comedy group, Disposable Theatre, and GOTR of NWI are teaming up for the third year in a row to provide you with a night of terrifyingly funny comedy created from audience suggestions. Join us October 25 at Clancy's Irish Pub in Portage!
