Virtual Online Days

Northwest Indiana tends to hit hard when they get snow which usually results in the closing of school. That leads to snow make up days which most kids dislike. At Boone Grove they've come up with an alternative plan. Instead of making up these days, they just make it an online day. Online day is where students receive their homework through a website called My Big Campus. This day is counted as one of the 180 days in a school year. Due to the snowy conditions some people lost power or didn't have internet so the school opened up their computer lab for the students to use.

Valentine's Day at Boone

Boone Grove's Student Council and Key Club are sponsoring the activities for Valentine's Day this month. Key Club sold Carnations to give to a friend or a secret admirer. These flowers came in three different colors that represent different things. Red stands for love; yellow stands for like; and white stands for friendship. The flowers are delivered to whoever they were bought for. Student Council is doing something a little different. They sent out a link to all the students via My Big Campus for a matchmaking quiz. After all the results were put together, they printed them out. Students have the option to buy their results for $2. All the proceeds will be given to Riley's Children's Hospital.
