200 Years Along the South Shore Exhibit Opens August 29, 2016

sscva-square-photoTwo-hundred years of history will be on display at the Indiana Welcome Center from Aug 29 to Oct 2 in celebration of Indiana’s Bicentennial.

The South Shore CVA has partnered with a number of historical societies to tell the stories of the people, industries and history of northwest Indiana. Photographs, artifacts, clothing, farm equipment, war and sports memorabilia and more will be on display in the W.F. Wellman Exhibit Hall. The exhibit is free and open to the public seven days a week.

In conjunction with the exhibit, the South Shore CVA will also welcome Torch Bearers for a special reception on Wednesday, Sept 21 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The reception is open to all South Shore Torch Bearers and their family and friends.
