The 2012 Valparaiso Vikings 9U Baseball Travel Team traveled to Kendallville, IN over Memorial Day Weekend and came home with a 2nd Place finish.
Heading into the Tournament, the Vikings , who are #1 in the State of Indiana and #5 out of 55 teams in the Region (Indiana, Kentucky, and Michigan), improved their record to 15-8-1. The boys got to the Championship game defeating the New Haven Bulldogs 14-2, losing to the Wallen Jackers 7-3, and defeating the Ft. Wayne Cubs 5-4.
Hurt by miscues in the field and the lack of offense, the boys fell behind early in the Championship game, eventually losing to the New Haven Bulldogs 9-0.
