June is Adopt a Shelter Cat Month, but we didn't want to leave out our canine friends. Lots of kitties and puppies need a loving home. If you are unable to adopt, you can still help! Here's how:
Get on social media - Use your Facebook, Twitter, and other social media accounts to get the word out about adopting a shelter pet. Tell your friends and followers to go to Petfinder.com to adopt and share pet adoption articles and blogs for people to read.
Grant a wish - head to your local shelter and ask if they have a donation wish list that needs to be fulfilled. Take that list and put it up in your office.
Volunteer - Foster a pet yourself or volunteer at a local shelter and tell your friends about how great it was.
Donate - shelters are always looking for food, toys, and monetary donations to help make the lives of the animals better
Prepare the next generation - Got kids? A younger sibling? Tell them about animal shelters and why adopting from a shelter is a good idea.
