2015 Purdue Day of Giving

Purdue-Day-of-Giving-Collage-2015April 29th was the 2nd Annual Purdue Day of Giving. During this time there was an online fundraising event when students, alumni, faculty, staff, parents and friends came together to grant opportunities and transform lives for students. There were a total of 42 units at Purdue including Purdue North Central and Purdue Calumet who participated in this 24-hour event.

At Purdue North Central, a Day of Giving headquarters was created where everyone could see live minute-by-minute standings on a large screen. Students, faculty, staff, and community members stopped by for donuts in the morning and pizza in the afternoon as the headquarters celebrated the generosity of donors. The leaderboards displayed on the screen also showed the results of social media challenges. Students, alumni, employees and others participated by posting photos, videos and random statements on social media platforms using the handle @PNC_ALUMNI and hashtags #iampnc and #PurdueDayofGiving.

By the time Purdue Day of Giving had come to a close, PNC raised a total of $161,456 and was ranked 17 out of 42 for the most raised. April 29th was a proud day for PNC as staff, faculty, students, and community members came together to build a stronger Purdue North Central. The generous donations received will go to the academic colleges, student scholarships, PNC athletics, the Student Services Activity Complex and many other areas.
