For only the second time in history, the 2020 Toyota Supra will play to a stadium crowd when it rolls into the upcoming Chicago Auto Show, having made its debut appearance at the Detroit auto show in January.
As Car and Driver aptly put it, Toyota has resurrected a sports car legend, and while it may have been 20 years since we’ve seen the little devil, nothing was spared in its masterful recreation. This two-seat sports car will launch in July with a 3.0 liter turbocharged inline-6 for a whopping 335 horsepower, 365 pound-feet of torque and an 8-speed automatic transmission.
We asked a few Lakeshore Motors professionals their thoughts, and they all said the same thing: Zero to 0.60 in 4.1 seconds.
Of course, luxury is in tow, with various features available in the two models. Highlights include Apple CarPlay™ or Android Auto™, heated steering wheel, premium audio, navigation system, Bluetooth, and heads-up display. Safety isn’t sacrificed either, with lane departure notification, emergency braking with pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, and blind spot monitoring, the last of which is super helpful in an encapsulated sports machine.
Editor’s Note: This is one in a series of our 2019 Chicago Auto Show previews! The show is Feb. 9-18 at McCormick Place. Check them all out here.
