2nd Annual “Be a Star” Trivia Night for Middle School Students on November 17th

Disc-Unl-2nd-Be-a-StarOn November 17, 2011, Discoveries Unlimited will host its 2nd Annual “Be a Star” Trivia Night just for 6th-8th graders. Middle School students from across Northwest Indiana are invited to test their trivia skills and participate in this fun and exciting event. The “Be a Star” Trivia Night will be held at County Line Orchard (200 S. County Line Road, Hobart, IN) from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Win great prizes from Jimmy Johns, Zao Island, Cinemark, Valparaiso University, Edible Arrangements and more! A trophy will be awarded to the school or organization represented by the winning team!

Cost is $5.00 per person. Pizza and drinks are additional. Participants can come as individual players or form teams of four and register on-line at www.discoveriesunlimited.org. Discoveries Unlimited is a non-profit organization dedicated to mentoring middle school girls in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Its STEM Mentor program pairs Valparaiso middle schools girls with STEM industry professional in one-on-one mentor teams. The goal is to encourage and support girls' interests in STEM education and careers, fostering lifelong STEM learners. Additionally, by collaborating with the business community, Discoveries Unlimited provides insight to STEM career paths available in Northwest Indiana encouraging our girls to remain in the communities that educate them, build workforce capacity and support economic development. disc-unlim
