33rd Annual Girl Scout Event March 10

Girl-Scouts-logoThe Girl Scouts of Valparaiso and Washington Township will be hosting its 33rd annual Scouting-Girl Style on Sunday, March 10 from 12:30-3:30 PM at Washington Twp High School. This year’s theme, “Imagine the Future,” looks into what might be happening locally and around the world as Girl Scouts USA starts its 2nd century as the foremost organization for girls in the United States.

Daisy, Brownie, Junior, and Cadette troops will be offering hands-on activities and games for boys and girls to participate in. Some of the featured booths include making straw rockets, designing a futuristic Girl Scout uniform, predicting what will happen in the next century, personalizing your own “moon rock,” and helping endangered animal populations increase.

Cadette, Senior and Ambassador Girl Scout troops will be selling hot dogs, soda, nachos, and homemade desserts.

Girl Scout families as well as the general public are invited to participate in all activities. Admission to Scouting-Girl Style is one non-perishable food item to be donated to a local food pantry.
