The Valpo Parks Foundation will host its 3rd Annual Party in the Park fundraiser with this year’s proceeds going to support ValPLAYso – The Next Generation. The evening of great food, refreshing drinks, and music featuring the Chris and Lou Band will be from 7 to 11 PM on Saturday, August 16 at Rogers-Lakewood Park. Highlights of the evening will be a 45 minute spoof of the NBC show Hollywood Game Night hosted by Jane Lynch with “Valparaiso Game Night,” starring Rick Urschel as the host.
It features local “celebrity” contestants Carol Costakis, Cheryl Harmon, Monica Decker, Gwen Rapley, Chris Campbell, Nick Sommer, Tim Daly, and Mark Ritzi. In addition, there will be an auction of the two original ValPLAYso gateway signs of the playground that was dismantled a few weeks ago. Reservations for the evening are $75 each and can be purchased online at ValpoParksFoundation.org, or by emailing bjohnson@valpo.us.
