On Saturday, December 4, 2021, Hillsdale College representing the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) and Truman State University representing the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) will face-off in the 2nd edition of America’s Crossroads Bowl held at the Brickyard Stadium in Hobart, Indiana. Kickoff will be at 1:00 p.m. CST.
The America’s Crossroads Bowl is one of four NCAA Division II bowl games sponsored nationally in 2021. Hillsdale Chargers (6-5, 5-2 G-MAC) and Truman State Bulldogs (8-3, 4-3 GLVC) were selected to the postseason game as the highest-ranked teams in league standings not participating in the NCAA Division II playoff.
Both teams will arrive in Merrillville Thursday evening and attend a welcome team dinner at the Dean and Barbara White Community Center. The City of Hobart will host the student-athletes for breakfast on Friday morning at Festival Park before their practice times at Brickyard Stadium. Then, players will engage in various activities with the students at Early Learning Center at George Earle, Joan Martin Elementary, Liberty Elementary and Veterans Elementary schools in Hobart. On Friday evening, Hobart High School will host the America’s Crossroads Bowl Banquet to recognize and celebrate the student-athletes and staff accomplishments. Hobart Art Theater will welcome fans, families, friends and the local community to the America’s Crossroads Bowl Pre-Game Party on Saturday, December 4 from 8:00 a.m. to Noon. This event is all ages and food and drinks will be available for purchase. In addition, Epic Limo will offer a free shuttle from the Pre-Game Party to Brickyard Stadium. The Hobart Art Theater is located at 230 Main Street in Hobart.
