In the midst of the wafting scent of fried foods and exhilarating carnival rides at this year’s St. Joseph County Fair lies AJ Portable Buildings, a booth that stands out not just for its craftsmanship, but for its genuine excitement to connect with the community. AJs is proud to kick off fair season by showcasing its high-quality, hand-crafted Yoder buildings and durable steel structures, including sheds, gazebos, and more to help communities across the Midwest live life to the fullest.
Fair season is a staple for AJs. The company always makes a presence across multiple fairs in Northern Indiana, and the St. Joe County Fair is the first stop in the lineup for the 2025 summer agenda. AJs’ Shed Doctor Ben Jarrell is especially excited to get this year’s fair run started.
“I’m excited because I get to meet and greet a lot of customers and different people,” said Jarrell. “I enjoy it because there’s no other shed company out there that has the quality of our buildings.”
Fair season also lets AJs bring out a specialized lineup, meaning event goers can leave with much more than your typical stuffed animal or goldfish as their fair prize - they also have the chance to hop on specialized offers and deals that can’t be found during typical business hours.
“Anytime during the fair we’ll throw in free ramps,” said Jarrell.
More than that, however, it’s always fun to see people walk around the setup and enjoy the booth throughout the course of the fair. From kids having the adventure of a lifetime running through the buildings to older passersby stopping by for a friendly chat, there’s something about fair season that can’t be found anywhere else, as it brings people together in the most unexpected ways.
“The fair is great because there are thousands of people coming through this event today,” said Jarrell. “So having that many people and sharing our product, the quality of our product, how our buildings are built, the craftsmanship of our buildings- hundreds of people come in every single day and see the quality of our craft, and when you buy one of these you’re set for the rest of your life."
