Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® Kickoffs to be held in Lake and Porter Counties

AlzheimersAssociationThe Alzheimer’s Association is inviting northwest Indiana residents to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Kickoff events for the 2011 Walk to End Alzheimer’s (formerly known as the Memory Walk). The dates and locations of the Kickoffs are as follows:

  • Merrillville Kickoff on July 7, 5:30-7:00PM at Horizon Bank, 8590 Broadway in Merrillville (Phone # 219-736-0969)
  • Munster Kickoff on July 14, 5:30-7:00PM at Horizon Bank, 10429 Calumet Ave. in Munster (Phone #219-750-1152)
  • Porter County Kickoff on August 10, 5:30-7:00PM at Horizon Bank, 902 Lincolnway in Valparaiso (Phone #219-531-2265)

Representatives and Volunteers from the Alzheimer’s Association will be on hand to explain the Walk to End Alzheimer’s and how to get involved. Participants will also learn fun tips at the “Fundraising Fair.”

The Team Kickoffs is being sponsored by Horizon Bank, the Alzheimer’s Association and various local companies. Reservations are recommended as light refreshments will be served. The Michigan City Walk will be held on Sunday, October 9 at Washington Park, Two on the Lake in Michigan City. Registration begins at 12:30 PM, and the Walk starts at 1:30 PM.
