Andrean High School Honors Grad with “Luke Harangody Night”

Andrean High School will honor one of its own on Saturday night (Dec. 5) as two-time Notre Dame All-American Luke Harangody (Schererville, Ind.) will be honored by the school in an evening that has been designated as “Luke Harangody Night.” Harangody’s No. 40 jersey, the number he wore during his four-year scholastic career, will be recognized at that time in a pre-game ceremony prior to Andrean’s contest with Gary Lew Wallace.

Harangody’s jersey will be the first-ever to be honored by the school in this special ceremony. On Dec. 1, he became the first player in program history to score 2,000 points and grab 1,000 rebounds at Notre Dame.

Harangody enjoyed an illustrious four-year career at Andrean as his teams compiled a 67-29 record, won two Athletic Conference championships (2005 and 2006) and three sectional crowns. A two-time all-state and all-conference honoree, he concluded his career at the school with 1,527 career points (18.8 scoring average) and 850 rebounds (10.5 rebounding average) while playing in 81 contests.
