Another Valpo Local Calls Hines Plumbing When in Need!

pump-hinesJon Groth, Director and Principal of the Porter County Career and Technical Education Center, needed back up for household project a weeks ago. So, he turned to Hines Plumbing, the Valparaiso company who always has the locals’ backs.

At his Valpo residence, Groth needed to install a second backup sump pump.

“I had a water pressure back-up sump pump that I wanted replaced with a second back-up electrical pump,” he explained. “I have recently installed a whole house generator, so a second electrical pump provides us very good security against flooding.”

Hines also came in and replaced the ejector pump at the house, which was nearing 17-years-old and starting to fail, he added.

From beginning to end, the project took about two hours.

“The service was terrific,” Groth said.

The service was done quickly after Groth made the call, and was led by Hines’ stepson, who Groth said was knowledgeable, quick, and thorough.

“I liked the fact that they came equipped to finish the job without the need to ‘run back to the shop for parts or tools.’ They had everything they needed with them,” he said.

Groth already knew the Hines team would reliable and hardworking on the job, having worked with Hines Plumbing owner Jack Hines at Rebuilding Together Valparaiso. As a captain and board member for the organization for the last 20 years, Groth said the plumbing company is always willing to help with plumbing repairs for any of the project homes.

“Volunteers are nice but specialty craft volunteers are invaluable,” Groth said of the company. “They are also giving up not just time but lost wages. Their expertise made repairs on many elderly and disadvantaged peoples’ homes possible.”

Groth is just another community member supporting his local and small business.

He understands the importance of helping out fellow neighbors, and appreciates when they can help him out too. When it comes to a job needed done, Groth reminds all to: “Buy local, shop local, and contract with local tradespeople.”
