Valparaiso High School won their Track & Field meet in Michigan City yesterday April 26, 2011. The rain did not delay this meet however wind did play somewhat of a factor but it didn't slow Valpo down any from taking the "W" . Fortunately the sun came out and there were some amazing finishes in the meet yesterday including the 4x100 relay team consisting of Alex Vasile, Andrew Kittridge, Jordan Romanov & Daniel Marchetti taking first place with a time of 44:57, as well as the 800 Run.
Top 5 times in the 800 all were from Valpo: 1st Ahmad Aljobeh 2:02.5, 2nd Nick Violante 2:05.7, 3rd Jay Doane 2:09.3, 4th Corey Alfredson 2:11.4, 5th Kevin Hickey 2:11.7 Excellent time in all the races considering the wind. Great Job in Michigan City "Vikings"!
Next meet is against LaPorte & Chesterton. The 3-way meet is hosted by Chesterton High School on Tues. May 3. Meet starts at 4:30pm
