Free Bone Density Screening at South Haven Library on Monday, April 15, from 1-3 pm

Come to South Haven library for bone density screening from 1 pm to 3 pm until noon Monday, April 15. This is a walk-in program. No pre-registration is required. Sponsored by Steve Beach, RN of Porter Health.

"Bookends" Book Discussion at the South Haven Public Library Monday, April 22, 7:00-8:00 pm.

The South Haven Bookends invite you to join them for a lively book talk the fourth Monday of each month at 7:00 pm.

In The Book Thief by Markus Zusam, Death himself narrates the unforgettable story of Liesel Meminger, a Jewish boxer, an accordian player, and the power of books. Card Catalog Art Contest at South Haven Library

Ever wonder what happened to all those old library catalog cards when we went to an online system? Well, we've saved thousands of them, and are using them in the first South Haven Card Catalog Art contest! During April, come to the library, pick up some catalog cards that inspire you from the circulation desk, (maybe it's a book you love, or an interesting subject), turn the card into a piece of art, and return it) before April 30th. All artwork will be on display from May 1-24, so the public can vote on their favorite pieces. The winners will receive gift cards.

Get Your Garden Ready for Spring at South Haven Library, Saturday, April 6 at 2PM

Join a local master gardener for this timely workshop to help you plan your garden and get it ready for spring at this free workshop. Pre-registration is required. Participants limited to 15.

See IMax To The Arctic, Wednesday, April 3 at 6:30 PM at South Haven Library

This month’s Family Movie Night lets you visit the Arctic through the eyes of a polar bear mother and her cubs as they struggle to survive in the frigid environment. Three-time Academy Award winner Meryl Streep narrates. Free snacks will be served.

This FREE movie program is at 6:30 pm on the first Wednesday of each month. Contact the library at 759-4474 for movie titles to be shown.

Repurposed Book Art Display at South Haven Library in April

What do you do with a book with a broken spine, stained pages, or filled with obsolete information? Come see alternatives to simply throwing them away in a display of altered books at South Haven Library during the entire month of April. Instructions will be available if you’d like to try up-cycling your own books.
