The Alzheimer's Association of Greater Indiana will host “Becoming an Expert Caregiver” on Monday, August 23 at 6:00 PM. This program will be held at the Dyer-Schererville Library, 1001 West Lincoln Highway in Schererville. 
Becoming an Expert Caregiver is for those who are caring for a loved one with memory loss. This program will empower you with simple techniques to hone in on your loved ones’ strengths and supporting their needs, while maintaining as much independence a possible. Topics include verbal and non-verbal communication, coping with challenging behaviors, wandering and activities of daily life such as bathing, dressing, toileting and eating.
