Beginning Photography Class Using Point and Shoot Cameras

Chesterton-Art-Center-FrontGeorge Kassal will be teaching a Beginning Digital Photography class at the Chesterton Art Center in January. The class is designed for people who are new to digital and primarily use "point and shoot" cameras.

George will cover the basic operation of these cameras and the use of features like scene modes, exposure compensation, white balance and use of the flash. Special topics will include moving images from the camera to the computer, uploading to online photo sharing sites, sending images via email and hints for basic shooting conditions.

Students should bring their camera and instruction manual to class. The class will be held January 16, 23, and 30 from 7-9 p.m. at the Chesterton Art Center. The cost is $35 for members and $40 for non-members.
