Ben Franklin Student Wins Best of Show at IFLTA

Ben-Franklin-Student-Wins-Best-of-Show-at-IFLTABenjamin Franklin 8th grader Lauren Wardell won 1st place for Middle School Models and Crafts and went on to win "Best of Show" for Creative Projects over all high school, middle school and elementary projects entered at the Indiana Foreign Language Teacher's (IFLTA) Conference on November 5, 2016 for her model of a German Biergarten. Her project was designed and constructed as part of Frau Baxter's biannual spring City Project. Lauren received a plaque and $50 prize for her achievement.

  • Thomas Jefferson 8th Grader Lucia Otten, 1st place Middle School Paper Projects for her Spanish language Poem
  • Former BFMS student (VHS 9th Grader) Lauren Gring, 2nd place Middle School Paper Projects for her "Meine Reise zum Tierpark" book
  • Former TJMS student (VHS 9th Grader) Alex Krygowski, 1st place Middle School Models and Crafts for his German Gasthof building
  • Frau Baxter's 7th grade classes from BFMS and TJMS, 1st place Middle School Group Project, German Geography Cookie
