BFMS Cross Country vs. Chesterton

Wind rain and mud did not deter BF runners last night at Rogers Lakewood. Hosting the Chesterton cross-country team, BF captured four of the six. Our sixth grade boys defeated Chesterton 22-34 behind Dan Dalton’s 8:56 winning time. Evan Wall’s third place finish was followed by Nate Dawson, Mike Gerry and Jared Lasky. Not to be outdone, the sixth grade girls defeated Chesterton 24-32. Ellie Joll paced the tam once again with her second place time of 9:30.

Samantha Enloe ran well finishing one second behind Elli in third. Strong support times were turned in by Sydnye Noshbush, Sara Kupsis and Brittany Brice. Our seventh grade girls lost a close one 26-31. Nicole Chiabai led the team with a 9:19 second place finish. Scoring for the team was Karly Thorn in fifth followed by Alison Mundell, Meg Molnar and Dovie Bailey. The seventh grade boys defeated Chesterton 23-42. Camden Davison led the team for the first time this season with an 8:37 second place time followed by Mike Deedrich one second behind at 8:38.

Packing close behind were Alex Horb in fifth followed by Patrick Treacy and Sam Miller. The eighth grade girls lost their heat 16-42. Michaela Gazdich led the team with a strong 13:09 fifth place finish. Also scoring for the team were Rachel Willing, Emily Owens, Hannah Buggeln and Alaina Martin. And finally, the eighth grade boys won a very tight race 27-28. Back from an injury, Ari Coulopoulos paced the team with an 11:02 winning time. Finishing third was Kevin Hickey followed by the all-important finishes of Hunter Copelan, Kenton Grizzard and Vaughn Hanson. BF’s final home meet of the season will be against Crown Point this Thursday.
