BFMS Cross Country vs. Willowcreek

Fall-like weather greeted the BF runners on their return visit to Woodland Park in last nights cross country contest against Willowcreek.

Valpo ran well sweeping all races. The 8th grade boys won their heat 22 to 36 led by Alex Horb’s second place time of 11:08. Mike Deedrich placed third followed by Danny DeTorrice, Patrick Treacy and Sam Miller. The 8th grade girls won by the same score as the boys. Allison Mundell’s winning time of 11:47 paced the team with Karli Thorn finishing third followed by Kelly Bigger, Katie Thorn and Dovie Bailey.

Our 7th grade boys easily defeated Willowcreek as Dan Dalton brought the team in with his winning time of 7:31. Chris Hendon's fourth place finish led the scoring pack of Jacob Devine Aaron Finley and John Buggeln.The 7th grade girls  won their heat led by Ellie Joll's second place time of 7:53. Scoring for the girls were Sydnye Noshbusch, Lexi Ferngren, Sara Kupsis, and Kareen Billeted.

The 6th grade boys  ran well winning their event 19 to 37. Mike Lichtenberger just edged out fellow team mate Zack Moneta by one second with his winning time of 7:51. Theran Coulopoulos ran a very good race finishing third followed by Greg Lichtenberger and Connor Wolf. Allison Nagy led the sixth grade girls  to victory with an 8:51 third place finish. Valpo packed the next eight places with Julia Rohde in fourth followed by Emily Mittenberger, Allie DeTorrice and Carrollynn Sharp. The team hosts LaPorte tonight in their home finale at Rogers Lakewood.
