BMO Harris Bank Supports Teen Programs at Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County

BGC-BMO-Harris-Teen-ProgramsBMO Harris Bank recently contributed $5,000 to Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County to support its “Money Matters” and “Teen Enterprise” programs. “Money Matters” promotes financial responsibility and independence among Club members ages 13-18 by building their basic money management skills. Participants learn how to manage a checking account, budget, save and invest. They also learn about starting small businesses and paying for college. Teen members who participate in “Teen Enterprise” develop small business management skills through operating the Clubs’ concession stands during athletic league games. “Money Matters” and “Teen Enterprise” are offered at the Valparaiso, Portage and South Haven club locations.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County has been serving youth for 40 years. The Clubs provide programs for more than 5,000 boys and girls in the areas of character and leadership development, educational enhancement, career preparation, health and life skills, the arts and sports, fitness and recreation.
