Board Holds Strategic Planning Retreat

Last week The Caring Place, Inc. held a strategic planning retreat for the board of directors and administration, and was facilitated by Kyle Otten, Director of the Beyond Boundaries Program at Porter-Starke Services.
The retreat was held at the Porter County Jail Training Room, and was a day filled with new ideas, hard work, and some fun too. It most definitely invigorated, re-energized, and readied the board and administration to take The Caring Place, Inc. to the next level of service and education.

The day-long retreat was focused on The Caring Place, Inc.’s shelter, community education, and awareness. Everyone one in attendance worked towards the agencies 3-5 year strategic plan, new fund raising strategies, and bold new ideas.

In addition to re-energizing our services and education programming, fund raising and sustainability was a primary focus. This year’s featured fund raising event will be the 7th annual BLACK TIE BINGO, which has historically been a huge success.

New ideas are necessary for any agency to stay successful, and input from community supporters is always greatly appreciated.
