Peterson Field Guide artist to lead class
Porter County Parks and Recreation is teaming with the Lubeznik Center for the Arts to offer an incredible opportunity for artists of all skill levels who are interested in nature - a Botanical Art Workshop is set for June 18 at Brincka Cross Gardens, 427 Furness Road in Pine Township.
This one-day intensive workshop will be led by Olivia Petrides, an Adjunct Professor in Painting and Drawing Department and the Visual Communications Department at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Peterson has illustrated two guides to trees in the classic Peterson Field Guide Series.
Brincka Cross Gardens is home to hundreds of rare plant species. This program is designed for students of all levels who love botanical forms and wish to document them.
