Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County Promotes Summer Reading with Kohl’s Care Program

BGC-Kohls-Care-ProgramMembers of the Valparaiso Boys & Girls Clubs got a treat recently when the Valparaiso Kohl’s department store donated children’s books as part of their Kohl’s Cares for Kids Program.

Kohl’s sells kid-friendly cause merchandise, with 100 percent of the net profit donated to support kids' health and education initiatives in communities nationwide. Since 2000, more than $180 million has been raised through our Kohl’s Cares® cause merchandise program.

The Boys & Girls Club of Porter County provides children ages 5 to 18 with affordable quality programming that focuses on academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles.

The Boys & Girls Clubs offers affordable $25.00 annual membership ($20 at the Duneland Club) with Club sites located in Valparaiso, South Haven, Duneland and Portage. For more information on enrolling your son or daughter in a summer membership, volunteer opportunities or to make a tax deductible donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County, please contact your local Club or call (219) 464-7282 or visit www.bgcpocoorg.
