Boys and Girls Club of Valparaiso Offers Youth Volleyball League

New-Valpo-Park-Logo-ColorValpo Parks began a new youth sports program, bringing a coed volleyball learning and playing league to second through fifth graders. This volleyball program is a partnership between the Valpo Parks Department and the Boys & Girls Club. The kids who enrolled in this program enjoy both the Parks programming and an annual membership at the Boys and Girls Club.

The 8 week program has two age-group leagues: 2nd & 3rd Graders and 4th & 5th Graders. Rules are modified to help kids have a great time learning volleyball and being successful. The volleyball program is led by Parks Department staff while practices and games are held at the Boys & Girls Club of Valparaiso. This partnership proved popular, as there are almost 90 boys and girls participating in the program.

Valpo Parks strives to maintain a balance between teaching sports skills, sportsmanship, and healthy competition in all its youth sports programming. The mission of the Valparaiso Department of Parks and Recreation is to be a leading partner in preserving, developing, and promoting Valparaiso’s unique quality of life.Volleyball-pointers-from-P-Blasko
