Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County Names New Director of Finance

Matt-TomczakRyan Smiley, President of Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County announces newest member to the organization’s Administrative Team, Matt Tomczak as Director of Finance.

Tomczak attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Management. He has nearly five years of public school finance experience as he worked for both Hammond Academy of Science and Technology and Valparaiso Community Schools. Matt has a great understanding of the Boys & Girls Clubs Movement as he was a member of the Hammond Club of Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Indiana. Matt states, “Everyone within Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County is very passionate about what they are doing. Attending the organization’s Youth of the Year Awards was a very moving experience for me. It is an excellent example of the impact our Clubs have on our members. I am excited about the work we do!” Matt is engaged to be married in September 2015 and lives in Crown Point, Indiana.

Tomczak will be overseeing all financial and accounting responsibilities of Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County and is transitioning such responsibilities from Dennis Zborowski, long-time employee of Boys & Girls Clubs. After a ten-year tenure with Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County, Zborowski is retiring in early April 2015.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County was founded in 1971 in Valparaiso, IN. Currently Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County operates four Club units in Valparaiso, Portage, South Haven, and Chesterton; manages a Club operation in Culver, IN; and operates Kidstop sites nine school locations.
