At Brilliant Results Cleaning Service, the entire staff is extremely passionate about supporting their local neighbors in crisis. As a locally owned and operated Valparaiso company, giving back to the community is something of utmost importance.
In December of 2019, Brilliant Results came together to support Gabriel's Horn, a local homeless shelter that works to help women and children rebuild their lives and return to independence with dignity by providing shelter, education, counseling, and referrals to community connections.
The idea to help Gabriel’s Horn originated from Brilliant Results’ Operation Manager, Ashley Vrancks. The entire staff got behind Vrancks’ mission to help and worked to gather items that Gabriel’s Horn needed during the holiday season –most of which Brilliant Results uses on a daily basis.
“As a cleaning company, we understand the importance of a clean, safe, healthy environment. One request from the shelter was for donations of various cleaning supplies, so we jumped on helping out,” said Mike Dec, Owner of Brilliant Results Cleaning.
Brilliant Results donated items including diapers, laundry soap, dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and more.
"It's important to give back to the community and let the homeless know that we are thinking of them and want to help," Vrancks said.
Vrancks also noted that most people might not realize the large population of homeless people in Northwest Indiana, and strongly believes in the mission of Gabriel's Horn, which is to give women and children a place to go as they rebuild their lives. Vrancks understands that there are many reasons that a family might find themselves without a home and it is a scary situation that could happen to anyone.
The staff at Brilliant Results Cleaning is always eager to give back to those in need and help where they can.
“It’s important for us to be a part of the community and to give back. We feel very blessed that we’re in a position to do so and try to give back as often as we can,” said Dec.
During the holidays, Vrancks urged her surrounding community members to renew their motivation to give back.
"Especially this time of year, I think it's important to remember those who are going through a tough time," she said. "Sometimes there aren't many places to go and find the help you need."
Many times, giving back gives you a sense of community and togetherness.
“It’s so satisfying to realize that we are truly helping someone out in a time of need, and I would urge other community members to do the same in order to feel this sense of peace,” said Dec.
