Call for Artists: Bicentennial Plaza Sculptures

Call-for-Artists-BicentennialThis opportunity is open to practicing professional U.S. artists over 18 working with durable materials. Preference will be given to artists who have a relationship with the State of Indiana (i.e., were born here or lived, worked or attended school or college in the state). In your letter of intent, please articulate this relationship, if any.

The Indiana Department of Administration (IDOA) and Indiana Arts Commission have issued a request for qualifications to select two individual artists or teams of artists to create two, unique site-specific works that will pay tribute to the history and culture of Indiana.

The selected artist or artists will collaborate with the IDOA, landscape architecture firm MKSK, IAC staff and others regarding engineering specifications, exact location and all details pertaining to the final approved design and placement of the sculpture.

Interested applicants should review the official RFQ guidelines and supplementary site information available on the Bicentennial Plaza webpage. Materials will be accepted only through www.callforentry.org.

The deadline to apply is Monday, July 13.
