Are you a fan of nature? Do you enjoy taking photos of plants, animals, or other scenic views? Come showcase your photography talents at the 2012 Porter County Fair! The 2012 Home Economics Open Class is now accepting pre-registration forms for all of your beautiful photographs. Open to non 4-H adults 18 years of age and older of both professional and non-professional status, Home Economics Open Class allows you to submit entries in the categories of Arts and Crafts, Clothing Construction, Food, Food Preservation (Canning), and Needlecraft. Exhibitors can enter one item per class per section, and as many sections as desired.
Pre-registration is requested by July 13th for all exhibits, and pre-registration is requested by July 23rd for entry into the Porter County Fashion Sewing Contest. Registration forms can be picked up at the Purdue Extension Porter County office in Valparaiso or may be downloaded from the Extension website. Entries will also be accepted at the door on July 15th or can be emailed to mpralph@comcast.net.
