This weekend Calvary Church played host to women of all ages from the area at their Annual Christmas Luncheon at the Valparaiso University Ballroom. Table hosts decorated each table in their own unique styling, and the women were treated to the musical talents of national recording artist Jennie Wellsand while they were served scrumptious meals.
After the meal, national speaker and author, Kendra Smiley shared her "Recipe For A Positive Attitude" during the holidays.Throughout the luncheon women were surprised with giveaways and a quick game deciding who was the least prepared and most disorganized during the holidays, to whom gorgeous poinsettias were awarded.
The Christmas Luncheon is a long standing tradition at Calvary Church and last year was the first year it was moved out of the church facility due to the growth of the event. Nearly 250 women enjoyed this years kick off to the holidays and the coordinators are hoping to max out the Harre Ballroom at 450 guests within the next couple of years.
So mark your calendars for early November of 2013 so you can keep an eye out for ticket sales for this event generally held the first Saturday in December.
