This summer I had some awesome worship experiences, and I'm going to tell you about some of them this Sunday. You are going to get a worship tour! I'm also going to talk about why worship experiences are often so varied from church to church and how our congregation can be enriched by those experiences! Your world is about to get bigger, and my prayer is that your joy in God will be increased. I came back from my sabbatical with a renewed commitment to focus on the spiritual vitality of our congregation--I hope your hearts are open to how God wants to work in your life this fall.
I will be leading a 30 minute prayer service "Cambridge Style" this Friday morning at 6:30a just before our Elders' Meeting. Everyone is invited--and hot coffee is provided. Remember that tonight is Family Night for all you parents with kiddos in our AWANA ministry. I'm so grateful for the many volunteers who are committed to "catechizing" our children in the faith. And don't forget the up coming conference Turbulence Ahead--this is for parents of teens or pre-teens, as well as those who work with our teens at Calvary.

Parenting Conference
If you’re the parent of a teen, or a child who will be a teen, you know that turbulent times lie ahead. Or perhaps you’re already experiencing some of those challenges. Mark Gregston, founder of Heartlight Ministries will provide biblical wisdom and practical insights to help you be ready when your child needs you most.
Facetime Prayer Gathering
We hope you will help us kick off the Fall here at Calvary by joining us for the Facetime Prayer Gathering! This Friday morning, 9.28 at 6:30a our Elders will be gathering to pray for our church and they would love to have you join them!
Nack Family Bon Voyage
After each service on Sunday, 10.14 the Nacks will be in the gym to enjoy fellowship time and light refreshments with the church family. Come help us send them off with warm wishes and encouragement for their journey as Pastor Cary begins his new position with RiverLakes Community Church in Bakersfield, California.

Reliant & Connect Student Ministries

High School Juniors and Seniors, the College Fair in Mishawaka is this Monday night, 10.1. We will leave Calvary at 5p and return by 9p. There will be over 40 Christian College Representatives and workshops on financial aid info. Dinner is provided. You don’t want to miss this!
High School Students (Grades 9-12), join us on Thursday, 10.4 from 7-9p. We meet every other Thursday for a gathering typically including a fun activity and devotional discussion time!

Catalyst Membership Class

Catalyst for Kids
The Catalyst for Kids course (for kids 8-12) focuses on God’s character, salvation, baptism, and following God’s plan. This is a terrific course for those children interested in being baptized, as well as for those desiring a solid foundation on each week’s topics. This 4-week course meets at 9a or 10:45a in the banquet room (403) each Sunday starting 10.7 thru 10.28. Register your child at the Info Desk or by email (please include name, grade, and age of child).
Girlfriends of Grace
Save The Date! Saturday, 12.1, will be our annual Women's Christmas Luncheon from 11a-1p at V.U. We will need volunteers to decorate a table. The Oasis event, designed to offer the women of Calvary refreshment in mind, body, and spirit, will be held on Friday, 10.12 at 7p. You’re invited to bring a craft/hobby project to keep your hands busy while you catch up with old friends and make new ones.
