This time of the year anticipation builds as we move closer to Christmas Day. And it is supposed to be that way. Advent is a time when we look back to the coming of Christ 2,000 years ago--and we look forward to His return again.
In this Sunday's exposition I will explore the aspect of anticipation in communion--and we will eat and drink together again. In fact, we will be receiving communion every single week of Advent all the way to Christmas Eve. And this Sunday we will also receive many new members into our family through baptism!
And don't forget to pick up your Christmas Album this weekend at Calvary to help save the Girls of Guatemala! Check out the video if you missed it last week. It's so fun being part of a church that is making a difference!

Outreach
Regional artists have teamed up to produce a Christmas album, ‘Raise Your Voice’, of which ALL the proceeds will go to the new Kids Alive Girls’ Home, La Arquilla, in Guatemala that cares for young girls who have been abused. The CD was completed in the 7 Spin Studios here at Calvary and includes artists like, Sevenglory, Red Umbrella, Jon Costas, Hayley and Sharon Costas, Daniel Doss, and Jennie Wellsand. Prayers and Updates
Thank you for joining us in prayer for Rachel Wodetzki and her recovery from a brain aneurism. We are rejoicing over the progress that Rachel is making. Please continue to pray with us for her full recovery. Advent Season
Advent marks a season of growing excitement and shared joy as Christ-followers celebrate the birth of the Savior. Join Calvary Church every Sunday in December, and again on Christmas Eve, as we take part in an age-old tradition of remembrance and anticipation.
This year's Christmas Eve services will be held at 4p & 5:30p. Invite a friend to join you with our free Calvary E-vite.
Childcare will be available for infants through preschoolers during both the 4p & 5:30p Christmas Eve services. If you would like to serve our families with young children in Children's Ministries during one of these services, please contact Victoria@calvaryweb.net.

Meet your Calvary friends in the gym this Sunday, 12.8 for HangTime! The gym will be outfitted for mingling with old friends and meeting new ones. Children's Ministries
Bring your friends and family and join us for this year's Children's Christmas musical on Saturday, 12.14 at 6p as we present 'The Christmas Shoe Tree'! This annual event is well attended and enjoyed by many each year. Come early to get your seats!
You are needed! We currently have a strong need for team members in our 2-year-old classes on Sundays. If you have a passion for kids and connecting them to Jesus Christ, we'd love to have you join the Rock Solid Children's Ministries team here at Calvary! Women's Ministries
We welcome you to join us for Girlfriends Night Out this evening, 12.4 at 6:30p. We’ll meet at Strongbow for the Holiday Buffet. Hospitality Need
This Friday evening, 12.6, will be our Calvary Staff and Elders Christmas Party, held at the church. Would you consider being a 'hostess' for this event from 6-8p? We would like the female staff and wives to enjoy the party, and are looking for a few women who would be willing to assist with the flow of the evening. All food will already be prepared and served buffet style. Hostesses will ensure that drinks and food are nicely displayed, clear dishes and leftovers to the kitchen, wash and put away dishes, etc. If you have the gift of hospitality and are able to serve your Pastors and staff team in this way, please contact emily@calvaryweb.net.
