“Our Lord is great, vast in power; His understanding is infinite.” Psalm 147:5
As Vacation Bible School is in full swing this week, I thought I’d share with you our theme verse, Psalm 147:5. Our VBS motto this year is: Awesome God! Amazing Power! I was recently reminded in devotions that the same power that raised Christ from the dead is in us, through Christ! This is a timely reminder for me, as I go through a personal trial, that I don’t have to rely on my own strength, but the power of Christ is available to me, and it is AMAZING! I hope you will join me in praying for our children this week as we teach them about God’s amazing power and infinite understanding.
You will have an opportunity this Sunday to catch a glimpse of what is taking place at VBS this week, as we will share a brief video, prior to hearing from our Guest Speaker, Dr. Michael Wittmer. Joining us from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary, Dr. Wittmer is a Theology Professor and published author. His most recent book, The Last Enemy provides an “honest and hope-filled look at death.” I am looking forward to hearing his message and worshipping our Lord together with you this Sunday!
