Last week I said something that caught a few of you off guard: "God is more committed to your own happiness than you are." Wow! Do you believe he loves you that much--more than you even love yourself?! If ever God showed his love to us--it was by sending his Son to die for us. So whatever you are going through right now--whatever temptation or trial--know this, "God loves you!"
This Sunday we are concluding our three-week exposition of Mark 15 by focusing on the final hours of Jesus' life. He was left for dead--by God the Father. For our joy. Yes--for our joy. What happened on the cross was bigger than the Super Bowl! (Now that's BIG!) It's going to be "gospelicious" this weekend at Calvary. And after we hear the Word, we are going to taste the bread and the wine together as we delight in God.
This Sunday is also Hangtime at Calvary--so come hang out with me between services. Let's spend some time together after we spend some time with God.
