Calvary Link: Celebrating Growth

Calvary-Link-Even-MoreWow! We welcomed more than 3000 worshippers to Calvary Church on Easter weekend, over 2200 on Easter Sunday alone. That is our largest Sunday morning ever! I loved celebrating this special day with all of you and the many friends and family you invited.

A big thank you to those who invited someone to hear a message of hope this weekend, to those who came to the 6:45a service to make room for guests, to those who sat in the overflow room or Coffee Cove because we were out of space, to those who served in any way: ushers, greeters, teachers, security, artists, singers, tech persons (to name a few), and to our amazing staff. God is using YOU to change lives forever!

Seeing so many people in our building has me excited for the future. This Sunday we are going to pray together about the building project and upcoming generosity initiative. We want to ask God to lead us as we move forward to make room for even more changed lives at Calvary. See you Sunday!

What's New at Calvary...

Starting Point for Kids
Starting Point for Kids (for kids ages 8-12) focuses on God's character, salvation, baptism, and following God's plan. This is a terrific course for children interested in being baptized, as well as for those desiring a solid foundation on each week's topic. This 4-week course will meet at 9:45a on Sundays in April. Parents are encouraged to attend with their children. Class space is limited and pre-registration is required.

Child Dedication
When your family grows, our church family grows! We hold a child dedication ceremony during all three services on Mother's Day each year. We would love to pray with your family on Sunday 5.8. Parents are encouraged to attend a child dedication class on Wednesday 4.27 or Sunday 5.1. Register on the Child Dedication page of our website.

Compassion & Prayer
The church is among the first calls to make when a need arises. Pastor of Compassion and Care Jerry Grafton ensures those in our community have the support they need in times of crisis or need. Call on us when you want prayer for a difficult situation or a calm and reassuring visitor during a hospital stay or other crisis. Contact Pastor Jerry directly (jerry@calvaryweb.net) or call the church office (219.462.4026).
