There has been a lot of baseball talk these last few weeks and I have been racking my brain trying to be as clever as my esteemed colleagues. In the end, I have decided that it is time for a departure from America’s favorite pastime........to Canada’s.....Let’s talk Hockey! I will spare you.
We have been blessed so far this summer during Pastor Lionel’s sabbatical and this week at Calvary will be no exception! This is Pastor Joe’s final Sunday with us here at Calvary and it is marking the end of an amazing seven and a half years of service. Pastor Joe will be bringing the word to us this week and you do not want to miss it.
Pastor Joe has poured his life into the youth of this church and has worked tirelessly to model what it is like to be a Christ -follower. He has also been the Director of Worship for a season at Calvary and I largely credit him with making my own transition into this role a smooth one. Make sure to come and support him and his family as they transition into a new season in life that God has brought them to. This week there will be a time of fellowship in the gym following each service, to interact with Joe, Ashley and their kids. It is a chance to say goodbyes and to let them know what they have meant to you over the years.
Please come ready to worship and to hear from God this Sunday. I look forward to singing His praises with you all. Let’s come expecting God to do great things this week at Calvary!

Student Ministries
Middle School Students, grab a friend and your thinking caps! Meet at Calvary Church parking lot at 3:30p THIS Saturday, 6.23 for the craziest clue hunt ever! You will need to bring a modest swimsuit (under your regular clothes), a towel, and an appetite! Food will be provided! Cost is FREE!
All Middle School and High School students are invited to the Summer Kick-Off Bonfire THIS Sunday, 6.24 from 6-9p. Hotdogs and Smores will be provided. Girls bring a snack, guys bring a drink. Come out and join the fun at the Pellar's home in Valpo and hang out with the Wittmers before their big move!
