I hope you are enjoying summer. There are all kinds of things to enjoy--an early-morning coffee on the front porch, a round of golf with my boys, a cookout on the back deck, or a Saturday morning bike ride. I hope you are enjoying some of your favorite summer activities too. But I also love setting aside Sunday mornings for worship. And not just because it is my job. It's because I love to worship--and I especially love to worship at Calvary Church.
This Sunday I will finish the passage we began last week in Mark 9 where Jesus takes a child on his lap and talks about hell. What a passage! And I will also be sharing the vision THIS SUNDAY for reaching more people with the gospel here in Valparaiso, and in Northwest Indiana. A third service is coming soon--don't miss the new plan being rolled out this Sunday!
I hope your summer plans include worship! Enjoy the creation--but worship the Creator. I love seeing you on Sundays--and miss you when you aren't here.

What's new at Calvary...
Father's Day in the Park
Bring your blanket or chairs and join us on Sunday, 6.16 at 10:45a for a combined OUTDOOR service to CELEBRATE dads and family! After the Worship Service, stick around the park, have a picnic (food vendors will be on site), toss a frisbee, walk around our 'Cruise In' of cars on display, and enjoy spending time with your family and friends! Student Ministries
Reliant High School Students are invited to join us for our annual Cedar Point trip! You can get involved in this exciting trip by signing up at Youth Group or emailing Bre Pynakker (breanne@calvaryweb.net). The cost is $60 if you sign up before 6.9, and $75 if you sign up after 6.9. The deadline to sign up is 6.16, and space is limited. Sign up before it's too late!
Reliant High School Students, get away and spend time with your friends at Crossings Camp, 7.8-12! Worship and teaching will be interspersed with water sports, ziplining, and tons of other fun activities. Register for $350 by the final deadline, 6.17. Children's Ministries
All Vacation Bible School volunteers: Please attend an important meeting this Sunday 6.9 after 2nd service in the Banquet Room; lunch will be provided. If you would still like to volunteer, please visit the Children's Ministries table in the foyer following each service. Teens and adults are invited to become a part of this exciting week, 7.15-17 from 5:45p-8:15p with a Family Fun Night on 7.18!
