This week is our final Sunday of advent and we will celebrate the morning by worshipping together as families. (Childcare is provided for children from birth to pre-kindergarten.) We are planning a great morning of celebrating the coming of the Christ together—and we want our children to celebrate with us. It is so important for our kids to see their parents worshipping Christ!
Also, just a reminder that if you want to be sure you have a seat in the worship center (and can sit together as a family) please come to the 8:15a or 11:15a service—or early for the 9:45a service. If you arrive late for the 9:45a service you will have a difficult time finding a seat. Both the auditorium and overflow room have been completely full at 9:45a.
I am looking forward to remembering Christ with you this Sunday—and celebrating Christmas Eve with you at 4p and 5:30p on Tuesday evening. Christmas is only one week away!
He Came. He’s Coming.
PS. We are still helping families in need during the holidays. Please call our office or contact Lori@calvaryweb.net if you know of someone in need that we can help.
What's new at Calvary...
Attention Rock Solid Kids Parents! The next two Sundays, 12.22 and 12.29 will be Family Sunday! We invite you to bring your elementary children with you to the Worship Service to celebrate Advent with our church family. Stop by the Info Desk to pick up an activity bag for your child to enjoy during the service. If your child is interested in serving, please bring them early to the Info Desk to pair up with a Greeter or Usher. The Nursery and Preschool will be open for Infants through 5 year olds during all services.
Regional artists have teamed up to produce a Christmas album, ‘Raise Your Voice’, of which ALL the proceeds will go to the new Kids Alive Girls’ Home, La Arquilla, in Guatemala that cares for young girls who have been abused. The CD was completed in the 7 Spin Studios here at Calvary and includes artists like, Sevenglory, Red Umbrella, Jon Costas, Hayley and Sharon Costas, Daniel Doss, and Jennie Wellsand. You can purchase a copy at Calvary Church or download online for $10. Watch this preview video to hear more about the brand new project.
Invite a friend to join you for this year's Christmas Eve services, held at 4p & 5:30p, with our free Calvary E-vite.
Childcare will be available for infants through preschoolers during both the 4p & 5:30p Christmas Eve services. If you would like to serve our families with young children in Children's Ministries during one of these services, please contact Victoria@calvaryweb.net.
We are providing assistance again this year to those in need during the holiday season. If you or someone you know has a special need, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Tabletalk is an opportunity to explore engaging topics relevant to the Christian faith conversationally around tables. The time will be going “deeper” together with the topics changing each month that will change how you see the Christian life as well as how you live. It starts on Sunday, 1.5 during the second service (9:45-11 am) with the first series entitled, “The Gospel for All of Life” in which we will take a closer look at what the Gospel is and its relevance to our lives.
Set your calendars for Sunday, 1.5 because you won't want to miss what Pastor Lionel has planned. If you have been here for Vision Sunday in the past, then you know how exciting this will be. Pastor Lionel will be talking about how we are going to share even more of the Gospel in 2014 at Calvary, in NW Indiana, and the world.
