Calvary Link: Good News

Calvary-Link-The-Way-2017Do you sometimes just need some good news? It does my heart good to hear something that makes me say, That’s great! Wow, God is good. I got some good news like that and wanted to share it with you. During a Sunday morning last fall, our church family prayed over a young couple, Jon and Lexi, as they continued to fight the battle against Jon’s cancer. Today he is in remission!

This young couple has impressed me with their faith in God. As we prepare for Easter at Calvary and the message that Hope Has a Name, their story is one of many I’m hearing of people in our congregations clinging to hope in the midst of hard, painful things. I can’t wait for us to gather together on Easter morning and celebrate the beautiful promise that Jesus has given us—the promise of a future and hope!

As you’re thinking about Easter, give some thought to joining us at the 6:45a service if you can. We need 500 people to attend that service to make room for visitors in the later services. I want as many people as possible to hear the good news of Jesus and go out saying, That’s great! Wow, God IS good! I’ll be back to hear more next week.

We are wrapping up Acts this Sunday as we prepare for Easter next week. I think you will be encouraged by the final scenes of this book. See you Sunday!

Easter at Calvary...
Invite friends to share the Easter experience at Calvary this year. Share our Facebook post or download the image and text it to a friend. Prefer the feel of paper and a face-to-face invitation? Grab a few Easter cards from Guest Services on Sunday to share with coworkers and neighbors.
