What an awesome reception you gave me last Sunday. It was so great to come home to a packed out house of familiar faces and enjoy God together with you. Thank you again for the opportunity you gave me this summer to get re-charged for another season of ministry. I have so many things I am excited about that there are nights I have trouble sleeping because, as I said Sunday, "I long to see God do great things to us--and great things through us." It is my passion to work "with you for your joy" (2 Corinthians 1.24) and the joy of those who do not yet know Christ.
On this up and coming Labor Day weekend I'm going to open God's word and talk about how we can glorify God at work--whether we labor as a brick-layer, homemaker, artist, teacher, business owner, salesman, counselor, pastor, nurse.... I want to help you make life on the job more enjoyable and meaningful for you by giving you a "Practical Theology of Work" that is sure to encourage you. Of course, we will also be celebrating the "work" of Christ on the cross as we eat and drink together. And we've got some vertical worship planned with the best band in the region. Don't miss worship this Labor Day weekend.
For Your Joy,
